Canada:

• CAUT - Canadian Association of University Teachers / Association canadienne des professeures et professeurs d’université.
• OCUFA - The Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations
  

Denmark:

• DM - en fagforening for højtuddannede (The Danish Association of Masters and PhDs. DM is a traditional trade union as well as a professional association for people with a university degree).

Finland:

• Finnish Union of University Professors (Professorernas yrkesmässiga förbindelselänk och arbetsmarknadsorganisation)

Norway:

• Forskerforbundet (The Norwegian Association of Researchers (NAR) has close to 16 000 members, making it Norway's largest and leading trade and special interest organisation for employees in research, higher education and cultural heritage work)

Sweden:

• SULF (Sveriges universitetslärarförbund: universitetslärarnas, forskarnas och doktorandernas fackliga och professionella organisation)

USA:

• AAUP, The American Association of University Professors (AAUP's purpose is to advance academic freedom and shared governance, and to ensure higher education's contribution to the common good)
